The 11th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) has unveiled its highly anticipated nominees, celebrating outstanding talent and creativity across the continent.
The announcement, broadcast live on Africa Magic channels, highlights the remarkable contributions of filmmakers, actors, and storytellers shaping African entertainment.

The awards ceremony is set for May 10, 2025, at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos. Public voting is now open on the Africa Magic website until May 4.
The AMVCA, now in its 11th year, remains a prestigious platform for recognizing excellence across 27 categories, blending audience-voted and juried awards.
A distinguished panel of judges, led by veteran filmmaker Femi Odugbemi, will determine the winners of the 18 non-voting categories, while fans have the power to decide the nine audience-voted categories.
Two special recognition awards—the Lifetime Achievement Award and the Trailblazer Award—will also honour industry pioneers.
