The Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) has donated GH¢1 million to the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) as a prize for the 2024 National Best Farmer ¹ ². This generous donation was presented by the Deputy Managing Director of ADB, Mrs. Eno Ofori-Atta, who emphasized the bank’s commitment to supporting the agricultural sector, particularly in areas that help adapt farming systems to climate change and improve food security ¹.
The 2024 National Farmers’ Day celebrations will be held in the Greater Accra Region in November, with the theme ‘Building climate resilient agriculture for sustainable food and security’ ¹. This theme highlights the challenges farmers face due to climate change and aims to address the urgent issues the nation is currently facing.

In addition to ADB’s donation, other companies such as RMG Ghana, Broonest Company, Agriseed Limited, Chemico, Nanam Ventures Limited, and Ingreen Irrigation Solutions from Interplast, also donated assorted items and a cheque for GH¢67,500 to the Ministry ¹.
