A trailer fully loaded with over 700 bags of cocoa beans from Mumuni to Samreboi has capsized into the Semre river destroying the only wooden bridge at Amoaku in the Amenfi West municipal of the Western region.
The bridge was repaired in September when it was partially damaged by a truck transporting some heavy machines.
The current situation has since jeopardized movement along the stretch with many questioning why a loaded vehicle of that nature be allowed to use the makeshift bridge. School children are part of the most vulnerable as we speak and until repairs are done accessing that route will remain scary.
