The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has introduced the Ghana Gold Coin (GGC) to provide the public with a new investment avenue. Available in three denominations—1.00 oz, 0.50 oz, and 0.25 oz—the coins are priced at GH₵45,020.48, GH₵22,409.74, and GH₵11,188.12, respectively.

The prices are based on the previous day’s London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) gold price of $2,635.40 and the exchange rate of 15.75 GHS to USD.
This initiative is part of the BoG’s efforts to absorb excess liquidity, strengthen the local currency, and promote investment in Ghana’s gold reserves, aligning with its broader economic stabilization goals.
