The bank of Ghana on Friday 19th of July 2024 invaded the operation premises of the Nungua Branch of the Dek-Nok investments.
In a statement made by one official in an interview with MBN TV reporters at the scene he said “the Dek-Nock Investments has operated behind the blind curtains of the institution’s regulations act’,”.
He said, Dek-Nock Investments operates without license.

In a statement signed by secretary of the central bank, Sandra Thompson, the Bank of Ghana(BoG) has officially confirmed the closure of Nungua Addogonno and Ashaiman based Dek-Nock Investments.
In the statement, the Bank of Ghana described the operations of Dek-Nock Investments as unauthorized deposit-taking contrary to Section 6(1) of the Banks and Specialized Deposit-taking Institution Act, 2016(Act 930).
Officials of BoG and police guards were spotted at the said firm on Friday, 19/07/2024, where purported customers rushed in to push away security personnel, took over the office area while some were seen carrying away a number of Dek-Nock’s belongings.
Meanwhile, BoG in its release has asked customers to remain calm while investigations go on.
