A daring daylight robbery has shaken the bustling Adabraka Market in Accra, leaving traders and residents in shock. At approximately 1:45 PM on Saturday, November 2, 2024, four heavily armed and masked men attacked a man parked near the market in a red Toyota Corolla ¹ ²[3).
Eyewitnesses describe the chaotic scene as the assailants fired multiple shots into the air, sending pedestrians running for cover. The robbers then transferred sacks of money from the victim’s car into their getaway vehicle ¹ ² ³.
Alfred, a worker with Channel One TV/Citi FM, who witnessed the incident, recounted the terrifying moments. “Some armed robbery has occurred at Adabraka, and the robbers have made away with huge sums of money. Multiple bullets have been shot this morning. The police are now working to trace where the robbers fled to” [1).
The robbers also targeted a nearby business, escaping with an undisclosed amount of cash and valuables ¹. Fortunately, no fatalities have been reported.
