Member of Parliament for Madina who’s seeking re-election, Lawyer Francis Kojo Xavier Sosu has empowered prospective voters especially those in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to step out in their numbers to vote massively for the party on December 7 without fear or intimidation. Hon. Sosu said this at a mini rally at the forecourt of the about 60 year old Pantang Psychiatric Hospital within the Madina constituency in Accra after a walk for community engagement with party supporters.
According to the human rights lawyer, many are those who’ll do anything for political power especially when they feel inferior in the race. With him, NDC as the nightmare of major opponents in the 2024 elections, such opponents are likely to device inhumane tactics to scare away many away from voting their favorite to power. “Nothing should restrict you from voting the NDC to power on December 7. Fear not, exercise your franchise and assist others to do same”, the lawyer cum legislator who recently led the defense at the ECOWAS Court to secure some GHC160,000.00. compensation for New Force’s former spokesperson Shalima Abusi over her rearrest urged supporters.
In other angles, Hon. Francis Sosu responded to a plea by trainees of Pantang Nursing and Midwifery Training College to uplift the centre to a befitting standard. He added it is in the plans of JDM to make the Pantang Psychiatric Hospital a hub of non other within the West African sub-region. Sharing a dismay, he said the Pantang Psychiatric Hospital is about 60 years old and yet to experience any major renovation ever.
Hannah Adofowaa, SRC president, Pantang Nurses and Midwifery Training college in an earlier delivery requested the MP to invest in the school to enable it do more since it lacks required amenities.
Ace journalist Shamima Ibrahim said the signs are clear that the NDC is clinging on to power come December 7. This is evident with NAPO’s declaration at the UPSA that “vote for Mahama and also for Lomotey.”
