The Ghana Police Service has interdicted Detective Corporal Baba Amando Ibrahim of the Tuna Police Station in the Savannah Region following allegations of professional misconduct.
The move comes after a viral video surfaced showing the officer assaulting a member of the public.
In a statement, the Police explained that the interdiction is to enable a thorough investigation in line with the Police Service Regulations.

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) has personally contacted the victim’s family, assuring them of the Service’s support and directing the Savannah Regional Police Commander to work closely with the family to resolve the matter.
