Head of public relations at the Ghana National Fire Service, CFAO 1 Mr. Timothy Osafo-Affum was almost in tears when he noted, Ghanaians hardly pay attention to the term safety. This followed a fire outbreak at a residential building near the Mallam Atta Market within Ayawaso Central in Accra.

He was actually giving the state of Job 600 which’s mezzanine went up on fire around the mid hours of Tuesday.
The P.R.O calmed the waters while he continued granting the interview with MBN TV.

The edifice which serve as an office block for Members of Parliament, was in the news to catch fire on Tuesday. The development almost got the entire nation in a standstill especially among those who know the kind of property Job 600 is. Leadership of Parliament gave a directive for occupants to evict till further notice.

Mr. Osafo-Affum asked all to remain calm since safety arrangement for the Osu based skyscraper among all other property are in place though a few side issues.

It is not the first time that the building had been on fire.
