According to Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, good journalists won’t ever fade out and so it is with the many other professions. The long serving MP and business mogul gave the key note address when he chaired the launching of a book titled Basic Broadcast Production Principles by Timothy Antwi-Otoo, a broadcast journalist with specialty in media production.
Mr. Ohene Agyapong praised the author for the priceless investment made in producing the kind of book as a substantive backup in the media space. With him, journalism should be one of the most reputable professions yet some bad nuts in the industry are gradually tarnishing its image. All the same, all hope is not lost, he said.
The outspoken legislator used the platform to urge media practitioners to be bold and firm in defending the truth even in difficult times. He made clear of the fact that journalists suffer threats of all forms, but that alone must not be grounds to deny anyone from being courageous in their line of duty.
As chair of the event, Hon. Ohene Agyapong admonished anyone who may chance on a copy of the book to treat it as a precious document, not a mere book of any kind. Why? He believed Basic Broadcast Production Principles is one of a kind.
He assured aiding Mr. Antwi-Antwi to expand his work to impact generations.
As an entrepreneur with media investment too, he shared worry with how some media employees do just a little in sustaining the very business that serve as source of their income.

The owner of Kencity Media Limited stressed that as investors try to do more to help, some workers with their selfish interest collapse the business. He used his own firms as example to sight how a number of workers operate to cater for themselves alone without considering the welfare of the investor.
An unfortunate situation that does not help growth of businesses, Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong lamented.
