Eastern Region, 16th November 2024 — Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, has issued a stern warning to the public against engaging in any form of electoral misconduct as the December elections draw near.
Speaking at the inauguration of a new police station in Akyem-Manso, Dr. Dampare emphasized that those caught disrupting the electoral process will face severe consequences. He cautioned citizens not to be swayed by individuals encouraging chaos, noting that such instigators often disappear when trouble arises.
“Don’t be misled into causing disorder during the polls. Those who entice you will abandon you when you are caught,” he stated, urging Ghanaians to uphold democratic values by voting peacefully.
