Interior Minister, Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak is expected to appear before Parliament on Tuesday March 25, to brief the house about the raid on the home of the former Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Ernest Addison.
The Interior Minister is also expected to provide clarification for the basis of the search warrant and what led to the operation including explanations on the role of National Security operatives and their conduct during the raid.

However, Majority Leader, Mahama Ayariga said the Minister will be unavailable for Tuesday, March 25 adding that a later date will be announced for his appearance.
According to him, the House lacks the evidence to describe the incident as a raid. He said it was a properly executed search warrant carried out in accordance with the law.
“To correct the record, the committee clerk uses the word raid. Raid is not a befitting expression of what happened.
“I think that law enforcement officers lawfully went there to conduct a search and it is perfectly lawful. And so, using the word raid is clearly wrong so I want it deleted from the record,” he said.
This follows concerns raised by some persons for accountability after a team of heavily armed National Security operatives raided Dr. Addison’s Roman Ridge home in the dawn of March 20.
The incident saw officers disabling CCTV cameras and ransacking the property and seizing two vehicles which were later returned. Concerns have been raised about due process and whether the operation is legal.
Parliament is expected to adjourn sine dine on Friday March 28, 2025.
