Jaxson Dart’s brother is already a hot prospect and he’s just getting started

From Utah state champion to national radar, Diesel Dart is making his own name

It’s been a big year for the Dart family. Jaxson Dart, once a 3-star quarterback from Utah, led Ole Miss to a 10-3 record and somehow leapt into the NFL first round, landing with the New York Giants at No. 25. But while Jaxson’s been making headlines on draft boards, his younger brother Diesel is starting to create some buzz of his own-this time on the recruiting trail.

Still a sophomore at Corner Canyon High, Diesel Dart has already earned four college football offers, with the latest coming from Arizona State. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound wide receiver/safety hybrid posted the news on Instagram with excitement:

“Extremely excited and grateful to say that I have received an offer from Arizona #gobearcats.”

That makes four programs now: San Diego State, BYU, Ole Miss, and Arizona State. Not bad for a kid who won’t graduate until 2027.

Diesel’s play on the field explains why schools are lining up. He logged 44 tackles, one interception, and 23 receptions for 351 yards and a touchdown last season-all while helping Corner Canyon bring home the Utah 6A state title. Defensive coordinator Cody Gardner wasn’t shy about it, posting:

“I’m biased. But this dude is going to explode this summer. P4 guys, you better start building a relationship.”

Among the four schools, BYU is pushing the hardest. They were the first to offer Jaxson Dart, and though they didn’t land him then, they’ve stayed in close contact with the family. It’s clear that the Cougars want another shot.

Ole Miss, however, might be the sentimental favorite. Lane Kiffin extended an offer to Diesel earlier this year, and the Rebels are leaning into their connection to the Dart legacy. Diesel celebrated the offer on IG with, “Extremely excited and grateful to say that I have been offered by Ole Miss#hottytoddy.” His dad added a cherry on top: “Darty in the SIP!!! .”

Jaxson may be gone from Oxford, but the Dart name still carries weight. After the Gator Bowl, Jaxson said, “This program’s on the rise. They’re going to continue to get better… It’s just a place where people really want to play.”

So far, Diesel has options. He’s not committed. He’s not rushed. But with summer camps and more tape on the way, expect that offer list to grow. The question now: will he follow the family path-or make his own?
