Reports of friction between Parsons and other members of the defense have surfaced, prompting Irvin to address the situation during a recent episode of his podcast.

While Parsons has been one of the team’s most dominant players since being drafted in 2021, rumors of tension between him and certain teammates have raised questions about the Cowboys’ team chemistry.

Irvin, known for his outspoken personality, revealed that while he initially ignored such reports, recent developments have forced him to take a closer look at what’s happening behind the scenes.

Irvin acknowledged the murmurs about discontent within the Cowboys’ defense, suggesting that Parsons himself may have sensed jealousy among some of his teammates. The former wide receiver shared a revealing exchange from inside the Cowboys’ camp.

“I’ve heard before that there’s something in the locker room with some of the guys on defense and Micah Parsons, and I would never have said anything about it, because I thought there would be a violation. But now that it’s out, we should address it. Micah said, ‘I think you’re jealous,'” he said.

This comment sparked further discussion about whether Parsons’ rapid rise to stardom and high-profile presence-including his active social media presence and off-field ventures-may have created some resentment within the Cowboys’ defensive unit.

Irvin also spoke about the fallout between Parsons and former Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence.

After Lawrence signed with the Seattle Seahawks, he made some controversial remarks that many interpreted as critical of the Cowboys’ organization. Parsons responded on social media, leading to a back-and-forth that put their fractured relationship on full display.

“I’m absolutely going to go with Micah Parsons here in this little spiff,” he added. “I love [DeMarcus Lawrence]… [but] you can’t just say, ‘I ain’t going to never win a Super Bowl in Dallas’ as if you were not on the football field… you are directly part of the reason you didn’t win a Super Bowl in Dallas.”
