After months of internal review, the University of Florida dismissed the complaint in early 2025. According to documents obtained by ESPN, the Title IX coordinator found no sufficient evidence to indicate that sexual harassment had occurred within a university program or activity.
The investigation was launched following an anonymous report that named multiple potential victims, but ultimately, no actionable proof was found to proceed with disciplinary measures.
Golden denied all allegations from the beginning. Once the case was officially closed, he issued a statement expressing relief and gratitude:
“I always trusted the truth would come out. I’m thankful for the unwavering support of my family, my team, and the university during this difficult time.”
