Mortuary Workers Threaten to Resume Strike Over Unresolved Issues

The Mortuary Workers Association has announced its intention to resume strike action on November 28, 2024, due to unresolved concerns over their conditions of service.

In a letter dated November 25, the Association expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of progress in addressing their demands despite previous negotiations. The letter, signed by General Secretary Richard Kofi Jordan, emphasized that the strike, which had been paused since September 26, would resume unless a satisfactory response was received from the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders.

The workers have called for constructive dialogue to resolve the issue before the planned strike date.
