Minority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin has said no amount of threat and intimidation from the government will prevent the Minority from its resolve to win power in 2028.
Speaking on the floor of Parliament on the 2025 Budget, the Effutu MP accused the NDC government of political persecution of former officials.

“All you know is persecution, all you know is arrest them. But I want to assure you that we in the Minority and the NPP we will walk through this valley of the show of the death. We will not fear any evil.
“God will be with us. You can decide to arrest all of us, you can threaten all of us with arrest but we will come back stronger and defeat you in 2028. This government has reneged on its commitment to the people of Ghana,” he asserted.
Afenyo-Markin argued that the NDC government assumed office only to harass political opponents but has no plan to create employment for the youth, rather engaging in mass dismissal of public sector workers.
“You think by arresting people you will win the minds of Ghanaians and win power again. You will not win power again in 2028, we will win.
