Earlier, the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Koduah Frimpong posted on his Facebook page that, “N.I.B currently at Hon. Ntim Fordjour’s house to arrest him. #SAY NO TO STATE INTIMIDATION.”
Meanwhile, National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Henry Nana Boakye, who was at the residence to solidarise, has accused National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) officials of storming the home of Assin South lawmaker John Ntim Fordjour to arrest him without showing an arrest warrant.
Nana B told journalists who visited the home of the lawmaker that they will not succumb to state-sponsored arrest of the lawmaker.
“We won’t kowtow to any state-sponsored arrest,” he said.
Nana B also asked why the NIB officials did not go through the Speaker of Parliament before storming the home of the lawmaker.
“When they wanted to Arrest A Plus and Mustapha Yussif, didn’t they go through the Speaker of Parliament? Why are they not doing so now? He asked.
