NSMQ 2024: Battle for Supremacy as Mfantsipim, AUGUSCO, and Keta Face Off

Accra, Ghana – October 30, 2024 – The highly anticipated 2024 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) Grand Finale is set to take place today at the New Examination Centre (NEC) at the University of Cape Coast (UCC). Three of Ghana’s top schools, Mfantsipim School, St. Augustine’s College (AUGUSCO), and Keta Senior High Technical School, will vie for the ultimate title.

Reigniting Rivalries

Mfantsipim School, Ghana’s oldest Senior High School, seeks its third NSMQ title, having won in 1999 and 2014. Led by contestant Isaac Mensah, the “Landlords” aim to maintain their academic dominance.

St. Augustine’s College, another powerhouse from the Central Region, has consistently excelled in the NSMQ, winning in 2007 and 2019. Alexander Otoo will lead the “Lords of the Coast” in their quest for another victory.

Underdog Story

Keta Senior High Technical School, driven by the “Dzolali Spirit,” seeks to make history as the first school from the Volta Region to win the NSMQ title. Perpetual Sefakor Gakpetor will spearhead Keta SHTS’s charge.
