Two members of the Old Achimotan Association 2024 (OAA24) were killed in a hit-and-run while returning from the school’s annual bonfire celebration on March 7, 2025.
OAA24 in a statement released on March 8, 2025 announced the tragic loss of the two members.

The two, both females of the Stopford House passed away on March 8, 2024 at the hospital after a tragic accident on the Achimota Highway on March 7, 2025.
Lilian Akorli and Davida Asante Boateng were returning to the University of Professional Studies, Accra after the school’s Bonfire event when they were knocked down at 11:30 pm on the highway.
The statement says the driver of a black corolla vehicle refused to stop after knocking down the girls who were rushed to a hospital by good Samaritans over 30 minutes after the incident occurred.
Davida was confirmed dead at the hospital around 4 am on March 8 while Lilian also passed on in the morning of the same day.
The Old Achimotan Association 2024 has expressed its deepest condolences to the families of Davida and Lilian.
“We will continue to provide support to their families and find ways to honor their memory,” the statement signed by Brainard Apraku, President of OAA24 noted.
