The Member of Parliament for North Tongu and Chairman of the Operation Recover All Loot team, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has revealed significant progress in uncovering looted state assets allegedly misappropriated by appointees of the previous administration.
Speaking to journalists in the Eastern Region, Ablakwa stated that the team has gathered substantial evidence, which will soon be presented to President John Dramani Mahama for further action.
Mandate of the Recovery Team
The team, appointed weeks ago by President Mahama, includes prominent figures such as Nathan Kofi Boakye, Martin Kpebu, Raymond Archer, and Daniel Domelevo. Their mandate is to investigate instances of state capture and asset misappropriation, and compile actionable evidence.
Ablakwa expressed confidence in the team’s work and assured the public of its success. “We will not disclose the nature of our achievements until we have presented our report to His Excellency the President. When we do, the Ghanaian people will witness the extent of the loot and the coordinated efforts to recover these assets,” he said.
Next Steps
The compiled evidence will support legal actions and institutional efforts to recover misappropriated state resources. Ablakwa emphasized the team’s unwavering commitment to accountability and ensuring justice.
