The Ghana Police Service has issued a statement denying ownership of vehicle with registration number GR 765-17, in a ditch at Nkonsa within the Adansi Asokwa district of Ashanti region.
According to the police the property in question that was captured in a viral video for running into a house by the roadside while transporting mining equipment belongs to the Road Safety Management Services Limited though it had police stickers pasted on it. It indicates the commencement of investigation.
MBN TV in an earlier reportage said of the controversy as a result of the incident as below.
It’s a whole controversy as a truck transporting mining equipment run into a house along the road at Nkonsa of the Asokwa district in the Ashanti region. The truck in question has stickers of the Ghana Police Service on it although it has a normal number plate. As it remained in the ditch, onlookers agitate that the vehicle belongs to the law enforcement agency and if so, why must it be transporting mining equipment?
