President John Dramani Mahama has promoted key officials to lead the Ghana Armed Forces, appointing a new Chief of Defence Staff, Service Chiefs, and a Chief of Staff effective March 24, 2025.
The promotions, made on the advice of the Armed Forces Council, come ahead of the official transition from the outgoing military leadership. The new appointees include:

In a statement signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, MP, and Spokesperson to the President, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces expressed confidence in the new military leadership.
He urged them to serve with patriotism, unity, and courage in protecting Ghana’s security and sovereignty.
