Residents in akyem abenase cried over a dilapidated bridge

National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) parliamentary candidate in Ofoase-Ayirebi Constituency in the eastern region, Honorable Reverend Alfred Osei Poku lament over a collapsed bridge which has turned into a death trap in Abenase in the Ofoase Ayirebi Constituency.

Speaking to the media during NDC health walk and community engagement at Akyem Abenase in Akyemansa district, hon Osei Poku added that the seating member of parliament, hon Vincent Kojo Oppong Nkrumah does not have his people at heart “he is not thinking about his constituents but rather his position.”

He explained that the death trap bridge has caused a lot of accidents.

Hon Osei Poku emphasized that the town roads in Akyemansa district is very bad especially Ayirebi and Asabidia which turns muddy when there is a downpour.

“After six (6) months in power when elected, the road will be constructed, it’s a promise from H.E John Dramani because l have already lobbied for it. Vote for H.E John Dramani Mahama and Hon Reverend Osei Poku for development.

I will score the seating member of parliament hon Vincent Kojo Oppong Nkrumah 23% because he has done nothing, said.

The Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress in Ofoase-Ayirebi Constituency who doubles as Abusuapanin at Akyem Abenase Hon Evans ofori Atta also lament over the bridge which was construction in gold coast time, “my people are dying, my people are dying”

He explained that NDC awarded the road and bridge as contract in 2016 but because of the change of government in the same year, the road construction was was overlooked till 2023, about four (4) cars had accidents on the bridge, a vehicle carrying charcoal had an accident which resulted in the collapse of the bridge, the president should do something about it before election.
