President of the Republic, H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on 31st July, 2024, launched DRIP 2024 at the Black Star Square, Accra, to make way for reshaping district based road network nationwide. The initiative caught the attention of many with majority of citizens applauding the Nana Akufo-Addo led government when machines/equipment for road construction filed the 2nd open space for gathering of any kind in the world.

Few days after the event, the machines started finding their way to respective districts or municipalities. The media in particular has since kept close eyes on development since reportage on the road sector continue to be a prime subject matter.
Around bedtime, 5th September, 2024, the tip-off dropped in that supporters of the two biggest political parties had clashed over DRIP. As told earlier, MBN is yet to reach reasons for this, and is keen on doing so to feed its cherished audience in due course.
