Running mate for the All People’s Congress(APC), Rev. Dr. Samuel Worlanyo Mensah has shared a worrying behavior about the Ghanaian media regarding publicity. He said the media has over the years failed to give minority political parties fair hearing and/or publicity. The attention, according to him, has always been on two groups making it difficult for the voter to make proper and independent decisions at the polls.
With him, these parties do have worthy policies for national development yet the media won’t offer fair playing grounds for all to trade such ideas with the Ghanaian for whose welfare the manifesto or policies are developed to enable them make informed decisions.
For all these years, “Ghanaians have given the nod to two parties to rule. The hour is here for the APC to be put up to the test,” the economist stressed in the telephone interview with MBN TV.
Dr. Worlanyo Mensah said of how prepared he is to partner his boss, Dr. Hassan Ayariga in taking the country to the next level. He hinted APC has a lot in stock and that information about them shall be made public when it launches its manifesto sooner than later. Among the things he brings on board to conform with the party’s ideology is industrialization. By way of personal values, he mentioned honesty, integrity and hard work. What more, a move to manage state resources with proper accountability.
The reverend minister cum lecturer also made reference to where minority parties such as the Hassan Ayariga led All People’s Congress are disqualified on petty errors in general elections by the regulatory body.
Rev. Dr. Samuel Worlanyo Mensah was introduced to party supporters and the general public as Dr. Hassan Ayariga’s running mate for the December 7 general elections within a charged atmosphere of the GNAT Hall in Accra on 4th September, 2024.
