It’s extremely disturbing to note that contractors working on the Kasoa-Bawjiase main road in the Central region continue to fail in considering the previous health of the people by sprinkling water on the dusty way.

When we need no rocket science to tell anybody about the heinous danger this pose to, not only the life of humans, but any other living creature and even non-living in catchment areas, opinion leaders have equally failed in calling anyone to order.

It is clear that the contractors are very much aware of how dangerous the dust is to health and any other things so they apply water only within a stretch where their work take them to each day.

The situation has compelled many shop operators to closedown. I am not sure that personnel of the police MTTD or any other public service provider deployed for duty along the stretch accept to do so with clean heart.

Maybe the Ghana Health Service is not aware of what I am discussing. I’ll be surprised though should so be the case because for nothing at all, the GHS has the Central Kasoa Clinic and Bawjiase Polyclinic at Kasoa and Bawjiase respectively.

Whether or not any of the stakeholders is aware of the situation, I will plead with them to act with immediate effect before the president of the Republic, H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s attention catch it. Why? The First Gentleman himself made time out of his tight schedule touch base at the start of the project. For that reason alone, I trust the construction of that road is dear to his heart.

Additionally, the director of construction at the presidency, Eugene Kofi Bentum Arhin, is contesting the parliamentary seat in the Awutu Senya West Constituency on New Patriotic Party’s ticket. In the twin constituency of Awutu Senya East, is Mavis Hawah Koomson, the honorable minister for Fisheries and Aqua Culture. She’s the incumbent MP.
