The vice president and Nee Patriotic Party(NPP) flag bearer for the 2024 general elections, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has sung a soothing song for the hearing of Nursing and Midwifery Training College, Teshie in Accra when he paid campaign visit to the area.
Tertiary students have always opportunity to enquire about continuous flow of allowance since it is known to delay under most administration.
Addressing the gathering made up of students and their instructors including a huge support base from Dr. Bawumia’s camp, he asked them to put him to the test as president and see how best he will handle the sort of issue. He made references to the previous government where students’ allowance would cease but the NPP makes it available though a delay some times.
The man who’s known for his digitization campaign urged the students to vote massively for him to lead the charge in controlling the affairs of the country; at that, all can make the difference in leadership. Not only will he ensure the payment of allowances, they will flow on time.
Dr. Bawumia acknowledged delays in paying such allowances in some cases yet that should be better compared to an era where they would not be paid at all. He humorously said “an alawa delayed is better than alawa denied.”
