A member of the National Blood Bank(NBB), Prisca Ampaabeng has shared a scary revelation indicating it hardly meet a percentage of required blood for use annually. Miss Ampaabeng was at the studios of MBN TV where she made the shocking revelation.

“Unlike any other commodity, blood cannot be manufactured nor imported from external countries”, she noted.

Prisca Ampaabeng, a Blood Donor Recruiter with the National Blood Service was at the television station in line with a pending blood donation exercise at the Kwame Nkrumah Water Garden in the capital city of Accra when she admonished citizens to find solace in donating blood to help save lives. She mentioned countless benefit in donating blood starting with oneself, their family members and many others.

“It may happen that a prospective donor may not finish the process of donating due to a few medical issues but once they start to process, it helps them to come to terms with other conditions regarding their health”, she again said.

She continued to say that blood is needed on daily basis yet the country can only boost of limited donors and stock at the bank.

Prisca teamed up with MBN TV to make a clarion call to all and sundry to come out in their numbers to support when the day is due to help save lives.
