Residents around Teshie police station to Ledzokuku Krowor Municipal(LEKMA) Hospital road in the Greater Accra Region are appealing with the Ghana Highways Authority to provide speed ramps to control speed along the stretch.
Their plea is backed by the fact that pedestrian knockdown has always scared people. The unfortunate situation continue to render many paralyzed while others visit their grave in some cases.
Some people who spoke with MBN TV and said they had witnessed numerous road accidents and aedestrians being hit and killed by motorists while crossing the road.
They have therefore, appealed to the Member of Parliament for the Ledzokuku Constituency, Hon. Benjamin Narteh Ayiku to lead the charge in ensuring ramps are provided for the safety of all.
With a handful of residents, the rampant accident and killings could be spiritual. For this, they seek the intervention of chiefs and elders of the area to perform necessary rituals to chase out any bad omen on the road.
In recent past, Ghanaians have battled road crashes as the canker keep consuming precious lives. Damage to vehicle and road furniture are other things to talk about yet the situation is yet to get any better.
